Life is good in Oregon.  For anyone interested, a little info on the family.

Our oldest, Meagan, lives in SF and is the Director of Interactive Technology for California Charter Schools - getting married after Christmas to a great guy.

Our oldest son, Aaron, is an attorney practicing in Portland and has given us two grandchildren.

Our middle son, Evan, is a 1 LT in the 82nd Airborne, a decorated Iraq War veteran which of course scares the beejesus out of us in ways I can't describe.

Our youngest son, Jake, is a frosh at U of Oregon, our fourth Duck, and having so much fun it should be illegal.

I spent many years in the corporate world until I decided one day I'd had all the fun I could stand.  Hung up a shingle and consulted the past 7 yrs.

After threatening all my life to write a novel I did, it's always the right time to heed the call.

Anyway, it's a compassionate thriller titled Rush to Dawn.  On the agent hunt now and beginning the write the next one!  Absolutely love it.

Love Oregon but miss StL I dream about St. Louis style pizza and Steak 'n Shake -- and seeing old friends.

While little-known, the abridged story of our ill-fated Senior Prank is worth retelling. A plan hatched during the restless days after spring break senior year, it fortunately never saw the light of day. The idea was to formulate several gallons of a vegetation killer, Ortho Triox, and use a jet-style applicator to scribe a well known epithet across the football field in large enough letters of dead grass to be visible from the air, as a sendoff to our beloved soon-to-be alma mater. The manufacturer claimed that wherever Triox was applied, nothing would grow for several years. Our small coalition of co-conspirators recognized the folly of this bizarre stunt early on, however, motivated by the desire to participate in graduation ceremonies and depart with a diploma in hand. I think by then we all just needed to get out of there.

I'm excited to see everyone!  I just won a poetry award and a 2008 Grand Center Visionary Award for Outstanding Arts Educator, so both my careers are at the peak.  33 1/2 outstanding years with Sondra, traveling 2 to 3 times a year and living the life on ye olde South Side.  Oh, you might not recognize me without my gallbladder.  I second the notion for nametags. BTW I co-host a literary show on community radio kdhx, 88.1 FM on Thursdays from 7-8 PM called Literature for the Halibut.

New moon weekends you'll find me out at our club's dark-site in Oklahoma. Got the astronomy bug real bad on a trip to the McDonald Observatory in Ft. Davis. My middle age crazy was getting a big telescope I trailer around to star parties. Keeps me sane to look at objects millions of light years away.

Started college at Indiana University, loved it, but transferred to Boston University after spending a summer in Boston. I stayed for Grad School to get Masters in Counseling. I married my husband Burt in 1973 and have been married for 34 years. I worked as an elementary school counselor for 5 years until I had my son Jason. He is 30 now and married. My daughter Rachel is 24. I love my job, Boston and the beach.
