I have lived in Texas for 30 years now.  I met my 2nd and last husband in Texas while living in the Houston area.  He is a born and bred Texan!  Contrary to the belief of some (especially those up north) we do not all have cattle grazing in our backyards!  We are currently blessed with 2 beautiful grandchildren.  We lost my 2nd daugter suddenly 16 years ago at the age of 14 which we are still "surviving".  My oldest daughter is 34 and is a kindergarten teacher in Carrollton (FYI a suburb of Dallas).  My other daughter is 27 and after the "10 year degree plan" is currently student teaching and will graduate in May.  Our youngest son is 20 and working in the technology field of networking security which he is a whiz kid at and never ceases to amaze me- but that's not too hard these days!

I worked for 17 years for a major - now international bank - in the legal department.  Due to a merger 2 years ago, I was laid off and currently work at a law firm close to home.  My husband is employed by Cadbury Schweppes in Plano and we are both looking forward to retirement (oh my are we THAT old!) some time in the future!

I love it in Texas but hate the summers and what I miss most about living in the south are basements!
